I made this Easter Cake for the kids. It's so easy!


One chocolate sponge cake. I used a store bought trifle sponge. 80g butter, 250g icing sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, milk, marshmallows, choc sticks, small easter eggs.

Make the icing by whisking together the butter, icing sugar and cocoa. Add milk as needed to make a soft icing. Cut the cake in half and spread both halves with icing on the cut side. Cut the marshmallows in half and stick them down on the icing on the bottom half of the cake. Cover with the top half of the cake pressing down slightly so that the marshmallows stick to the icing. Then cover the entire cake with icing. Stick on the choc sticks in a criss cross fashion to look like a "basket". Then place the easter eggs on top to finish off your basket of eggs! Enjoy!
