Another easy Puff Pastry delight!

Ingredients

1 roll of puff pastry(400g), 3 apples, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 beaten egg, butter, golden syrup.

Thaw the puff pastry. Lay the pastry on a board and cut into eight pieces (cut in half lengthways and then in half along the width and then each half in half again). I did two types of styles. (See photos attached). Peel and cut the apples in half. Remove the core and cut into thin slices. Place the slices in a bowl and add the lemon juice. Toss the slices in the lemon juice. Place the sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl and mix together. Add almost all the mixture to the apples. Keep a little aside for later. Toss the apples well with the sugar mixture. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg. Place the slices of apple on the pastry. Overlap the slices. Sprinkle with the sugar mixture and dot with a small piece of butter. Bake at 200degrees Celsius until the pastry has puffed up and turned brown. Remove from the oven and drizzle with golden syrup. Serve warm with whipped fresh cream or vanilla ice cream.
