Delicious and ready in no time at all! You must use lamb mince for this curry. It is just not the same with beef or chicken mince.


500g lamb mince, 1 chopped onion, 2 teaspoons cumin seeds, 1 cinnamon stick, few curry leaves, curry powder or mixed masala, 2 potatoes, 1 tin of Koo baked beans in tomato sauce, salt, 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste,coriander.

Braise the onions in a little oil. Add the cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and curry leaves. Cook until onions turn soft and lightly browned. Add the curry powder or mixed masala - add a little more than you normally would as the baked beans are sweet. Cook out the masala for a few minutes and then add the mince, salt and ginger and garlic paste. Cook the mince for a few minutes and add the potatoes(cut into pieces). Add little bits of water as required. When the potatoes are almost cooked add the baked beans. Cook until the potatoes are done. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with basmati rice and sambals.
