I found this recipe in a Donna Hay cookbook. I have tweaked it a little as I thought Almond would taste great with orange icing. And it does!
175g softened butter
1/4 cup icing sugar
1 cup flour sifted
1/4 cup cornflour sifted
1tsp vanilla extract.(I used 1/4stp almond essence as well)
Preheat oven to 180deg celcius
Place butter, icing sugar and essence in a bowl and mix with an electric beater until light and fluffy. Stir in flours. Pipe onto a baking tray lined with non stick baking paper. Allow room for spreading. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden.Cool before icing.
1cup icing sugar
2tsp orange juice
2tsp finely grated orange rind.
(I added a drop of almond essence)
Beat with electric beater until fluffy and ice biscuits.
